The wooden boxes in this collection are small but carefully made: hand-carved lids and sides, functional hinges, and a smooth interior ready to hold jewelry, letters or any small keepsake. They're made by artisans in the social reintegration program in San Ramón, Alajuela, with the same care in the varnish as the rest of the collection.
Thanks to their size, they're one of the easiest Costa Rican handmade gifts to ship or pack in a suitcase, and they work well as a Costa Rican souvenir for weddings, birthdays or corporate gifts. If you want to engrave a date or initials, we coordinate custom orders with a production time of about 3 weeks. Many customers also use them as a ring box for a proposal.
